Welcome to concentus alius,
the gay-lesbian-queer symphony orchestra in Berlin.
We have been making music together since 1999; so, we blow, beat, stroke and pluck – as required ...
Why?
Well, because music
• is fun,
• opens hearts,
• connects people, or:
• simply makes you feel good.
And it can also be a means of doing good,
for example through
• charity concerts.
We do various styles
• straight-up classical
• gayly romantic
• lesbiluscious or
• queerly fresh
and genres
• sinfonico or concertante
• serious or funny
• sublime or shallow,
• traditional or modern –
just have a look at the ► Preview and ► Repertoire pages.
We play
• for ourselves once per week – when we rehearse:
every Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m. in Kreuzberg, and
• for our audience at least twice per year –
when we do our summer or winter concerts,
of which at least one is a charity concert.
Please take the opportunity to get to know us
• a little bit here on this website
• at our next performance
or to contact us right now via ► email.
